Privacy

This is a one-author publication with no advertising and no data business. This page lists everything that is collected, who processes it, and how to have it removed.

What This Site Collects

Reading a post requires no account and no consent to tracking beyond what is described here. There is no advertising network on this site, no behavioural profile is built, and nothing collected here is ever sold, rented or shared for marketing purposes.

Analytics

Pages load Google Analytics 4 under the measurement identifier G-SWMR2ZGHJE. It records the page visited, the referring page, an approximate location derived from a truncated IP address, and coarse device and browser information. IP addresses are truncated by Google before storage and are not available to this site. The data is used for one purpose: deciding which topics to cover next. It is retained for fourteen months and then deleted automatically.

Email addresses

Two forms collect an email address: the weekly notification signup, and registration for the live Zoom discussion, which also asks for a name. Both submit to Formspree, which stores the submission and forwards it by email. Addresses are used only to send the weekly post notification and the Zoom link. There is no drip sequence, no upsell, and no third-party list rental. Every notification carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes the address rather than suppressing it.

Server logs

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare records standard request metadata, including IP address, user agent, requested path and response status, in order to serve traffic and absorb attacks. Those logs are held by Cloudflare under its own retention policy and are not exported into any system controlled by this publication.

Fonts

The Inter typeface is loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to fonts.googleapis.com and Google receives your IP address and user agent as part of that request. No cookie is set by the font request.

The public API

The read-only content API described on the developer portal is unauthenticated. It sets no cookie, issues no key, and stores nothing beyond the Cloudflare request logs already described. Automated clients are asked to send a descriptive user agent, but nothing is done with it beyond reading aggregate traffic patterns.

Changes to This Page

If the set of processors above changes, this page changes with it, in the same commit. The publishing history for this file is public in the site repository, so any revision can be compared against the one before it. Material changes are also noted in the following weekly post.
